Summer Yu, who was pretending to be dead, was utterly bewildered. What was he planning to do? Why was he trying to take off my clothes? Glancing around, she saw nothing but impenetrable darkness; not even her own hand was visible. Could it be that he wanted to violate this body? Damn it, what a beast! She was still feigning death, nothing more than a corpse, and yet he would not even let a corpse go.

When Old Jia had stripped Summer Yu down to her undergarments, she finally couldn't endure it any longer and furtively grabbed a stone beside her.

With a thud, Old Jia clutched his head in confusion, staring at Summer Yu, whose face was contorted with anger. He was stunned.

He hadn’t expected that the little girl, who was supposedly dead, would suddenly strike him with a stone. Shocked into silence, he could not recover his wits.

“Little girl, you’re not dead?” Old Jia bared his teeth at her, his expression twisted.

Summer Yu instantly sprang up, hastily putting on her discarded clothes, cursing him loudly.

“You filthy old beast, you won't even leave a corpse alone!”

“Little girl, you survived such a potent poison?” Old Jia was utterly amazed, looking at Summer Yu as she dressed.

“Brother, after eating gutter oil and dealing with watered-down pork every day, do you think a little poison like that could defeat me?” Summer Yu finished dressing, her manner full of disdain.

“Well, since you’re alive, come here and let me have some fun, and I’ll let you go,” he said, his face twisted in a lecherous grin as he began to undo his belt.

“Wait!” Summer Yu raised her hand to stop him, though her heart raced with anxiety. Her body had no strength whatsoever and could never overpower this burly man. Seeing his explosive chest muscles, she admitted inwardly that, in both her past life and now, she could never win in a contest of strength.

Now was the time for her wit to shine; she’d compete with him in intelligence, not muscle.

“Uncle, do you have protection?” Summer Yu looked at Old Jia with a pitiful expression, tears shimmering in her eyes.

“Protection? What’s that?” Old Jia was taken aback. After years as a thug, he’d never heard of such a thing.

“Uh…” Summer Yu faltered, suddenly realizing she was in ancient times—perhaps even a world of cultivation—who knew what “protection” was here?

She gazed skyward, desperate, tears threatening to fall. Oh heavens, are you really going to destroy me?

“Little girl, you aren’t trying to pull some trick, are you?” Old Jia narrowed his eyes, danger radiating from his entire body.

Summer Yu snapped back, swallowing hard and shaking her head vigorously.

“Well then, why don’t you come over here?” Old Jia beckoned to her, pointing down, his face alight with excitement.

Summer Yu’s lips twitched; this guy even knew about biting—how could anyone play happily with him?

“Sir, I’m scared,” she said, shoulders trembling, her face full of fear.

Old Jia’s expression grew serious as he smiled at Summer Yu, stroking his rough chin.

“What are you afraid of? I’ll be gentle.”

“I’m afraid I’ll get pregnant,” Summer Yu’s eyes welled up, secretly pinching her thigh, tears streaming down her face.

“Oh my poor little darling, don’t cry. At worst, you can be my concubine,” Old Jia said, moved by Summer Yu’s tearful appearance.

“Bah!” Summer Yu spat in secret, utterly contemptuous. Like hell she’d be his concubine—if she could beat him, she would have torn him apart long ago.

Thinking this, she bared her little tiger teeth and raised her fists fiercely.

“Come, the night is deep, sky for a blanket, earth for a bed—such a beautiful night, let’s enjoy ourselves,” Old Jia said lecherously, pointing at the bright moon and clasping his hands behind his back, as if he were some refined scholar.

Summer Yu stifled a giggle, her face flushed.

Seeing the little girl laugh at him, Old Jia felt awkward.

“Ahem, I won’t waste any more time. Here I come!” With those words, Old Jia lunged at Summer Yu like an old dog.

Summer Yu hurriedly grabbed a dry wooden stick nearby and smashed it down onto his crotch.

“Aow!” Old Jia clutched his groin, his face twisted in pain, hopping about comically.

Summer Yu waved the stick triumphantly.

“My Dog-Beating Stick Technique is pretty awesome! Watch—no dog survives my stick!” With that, she struck Old Jia’s head.

Crack—the wood snapped, but Old Jia was unharmed, leaving Summer Yu embarrassed.

Old Jia rubbed his head, glaring at her fiercely, then stood and reached out to grab her.

Summer Yu rolled away, dodging his grasp.

“Sir, I was wrong!” she cried, discarding the stick and pressing her palms together in a pitiful plea.

“Being wrong doesn’t help you now. Tonight, I’ll show you just how fierce I am,” he said, flashing forward and gripping her shoulder at an unbelievable speed.

Rip—Old Jia violently tore open Summer Yu’s clothes, exposing her pale back.

Feeling the chill against her skin, Summer Yu panicked, struggling, but his hand was like a steel clamp, immovable.

“Please, sir, let me go!” Summer Yu pleaded, terror-stricken, tears glimmering at the thought of being violated by this brute.

“Little girl, no matter what you say, you won’t escape my grasp tonight.”

With a lecherous grin, Old Jia pinned Summer Yu beneath him, reaching to tear open her clothes from the front.

Unexpectedly, Summer Yu bit his hand hard, leaving a bloody mark.

“You little wretch, you refuse a toast, so you’ll get punishment instead!” he snarled, slapping Summer Yu across the room. She crashed into a tree, scattering leaves.

Coughing, Summer Yu leaned against the trunk and glared at Old Jia with hatred.

“You’ll die a terrible death!”

“Haha!” Old Jia laughed heartily at her curse.

“This world is a struggle for survival. But tasting such a delicacy before dying is worth it,” he said, stomping forward and instantly appearing before Summer Yu. Before she could react, he grabbed her.

With a heavy slam, Summer Yu was thrown to the ground, raising a cloud of dust.

“Let me break you until you’re half dead, then savor you slowly,” Old Jia said, gripping her chin with a sinister smile.

Summer Yu’s old wounds hadn’t healed, and now she suffered further injury, vomiting blood.

“You’ll get your retribution,” Summer Yu wiped her mouth and fainted.

[Ding, binding successful. Host: Summer Yu (Summer Yu)]
“What?” Old Jia stared in shock at the radiant girl, frowning as he struck at her with a palm.

Clang—a golden shield appeared around Summer Yu, bouncing back Old Jia’s attack.

[Ding, host unconscious and attacked—system auto counterattack.]

Boom—suddenly, a gigantic golden finger appeared in the pitch-black sky.

“Ant.” An indifferent voice echoed from nowhere, from the heavens themselves, disregarding all beings.

With a swish, the golden finger pierced Old Jia’s body and vanished.

“Ugh…” Before Old Jia could react, his consciousness faded into oblivion.
