Chapter 104: A Mutual Defeat
"Where did this brat come from? How dare you meddle in our affairs!"
After being sent reeling back three meters by the force of the blow, the poison master stared at Lin Feng in astonishment, his expression turning grim.
"Hmph, a mere poison master, and you dare to act presumptuously in front of me? Go to hell."
Lin Feng let out a scoff of disdain. As he closed the distance, he suddenly leapt into the air, tilted his body slightly, and gathering power in his right fist, delivered a thunderous strike to the man’s chest.
"Oh no!"
Sensing the immense power behind Lin Feng’s fist, the poison master’s eyes narrowed into cold slits. He quickly fired two hidden arrows from his sleeves, aiming to counter-attack.
Unexpectedly, Lin Feng merely tilted his body slightly, easily dodging one arrow while catching the other between his teeth, continuing his rapid charge without slowing down.
"What?"
In that moment, the poison master was stunned. Who on earth was this kid? How could his speed be this fast?
*Boom!*
A loud thud echoed out before the poison master could even react. His chest was struck squarely by the punch, causing a spray of blood to erupt from his mouth.
"This..."
Fang Huihui and the surrounding police officers widened their eyes in sheer disbelief. The young man who had mocked Lin Feng earlier stood with his mouth agape, his face filled with shock. No one had expected that the most capable person among them would turn out to be Lin Feng.
"Still not going to talk? Who sent you here, and what is your objective?" Lin Feng asked coldly, pinning the poison master to the ground with his foot.
"Hmph, kid, don't dream of getting an answer out of me. Even if you defeated me, you won't be able to handle my big brother and little sister."
Enduring the agony, the poison master suddenly pulled a flint from his clothes, struck it hard against his knee, and tossed it into the air. In an instant, a multicolored light burst forth, signaling his companions.
"Haha, you're dead today, kid! My brother and sister will be here soon, and all of you will die!" the poison master wheezed, blood spilling from his lips as he forced a sinister laugh.
Lin Feng’s expression remained cold. He scoffed, "You won't talk? Then I’ll just wait for your companions to arrive and send you all to the afterlife together."
He then hauled the poison master up, tossed him aside, and said to Fang Huihui, "Keep a close watch on him. When his accomplices arrive, I’ll capture them and bring them to you."
"Lin Feng, you..." Fang Huihui had not yet recovered from the shock. She gazed at Lin Feng in a daze for a few seconds before nodding. "Alright, but please be careful."
"Don't worry. Once I’ve captured them, I’ll handle the antidote for your teammates."
With that, Lin Feng strode forward. His movements were as swift as lightning; in the blink of an eye, he vanished into the forest. He knew this was the only path the other two poison masters could take, so lying in wait ahead would give him the upper hand.
Fang Huihui was filled with anxiety, fearing for Lin Feng’s safety. After securing the prisoner, she led her team to follow and provide support.
Lin Feng moved through the woods at high speed. A moment later, he arrived at a three-way intersection. With a graceful leap, he ascended a tree to wait. He did not know where these poison masters came from, but he was certain of one thing: the poison master he had killed at the Bai family estate was one of their own. Even Bai Zhenshan likely had no idea what the true motives of the poison masters he had hired were; otherwise, he would have long since brought them entirely under his own control.
"Brother, the sound came from over there. Let's hurry."
As expected, only three minutes after Lin Feng hid in the tree, the remaining two poison masters appeared at the intersection. Lin Feng could see them clearly. One was draped in yellow robes, holding a five-poison snake staff and wearing a snake-shaped headpiece—a figure not to be underestimated. The other was a woman carrying a poison box, which undoubtedly contained the lethal insects she had carefully cultivated.
In the ancestral legacy Lin Feng inherited, there were extensive records on the arts of witchcraft and poisons, so these techniques held no mystery for him.
"Wait, there’s the scent of someone else here."
The snake-staff wielder’s nose twitched as he sensed something unusual. He stopped in his tracks.
"What? Someone else? Isn't this the area Second Brother was responsible for? We haven't even seen him yet, so how could there be others?" the female poison master asked, puzzled.
"Because you’ve encountered a formidable opponent. Your second brother has already been captured by me."
A cold, detached voice descended from the tree above them. As they looked up, Lin Feng leapt down, blocking their path.
"Who are you?" the snake-staff wielder demanded, his face hardening as he stared at Lin Feng.
"Someone you cannot afford to offend," Lin Feng replied with disdain. "If you’re smart, throw down your weapons and surrender. I might spare your lives. Otherwise, none of you three siblings will leave here alive."
"Hahaha!" The female poison master laughed mockingly, eyeing Lin Feng with contempt. "You’ve got a big mouth, kid. You’re the first person in Jiangcheng to dare talk to us like that."
"Today, I’ll let you experience the agony of being bitten by my Myriad-Poison Centipede."
As she spoke, she opened her box. A black centipede emerged—twice the size of an ordinary one, exuding a thick, dark mist. Since its birth, this creature had been exposed to different toxins every day, and it slept submerged in venom. To this day, it was saturated with tens of thousands of different poisons. A single bite from this creature would be fatal, even to the most powerful of immortals.
Lin Feng watched as the centipede sniffed the air. As the woman shook the bells on her wrist, the centipede darted toward him with terrifying speed.
"A measly centipede thinks it can hurt me?"
Lin Feng spoke calmly, channeling his internal energy into his palm as he struck toward the ground.
*Boom!*
A wave of air from his palm slammed into the earth. The centipede, however, dodged the strike with incredible agility and continued its charge.
"My Myriad-Poison Centipede reacts faster than a wild cat; you can't hit it," the woman said confidently. Her eyes began to glow with a strange purple light, and she shook her bells faster. A *ding-a-ling* sound filled the air, carrying a hallucinogenic sonic wave.
Lin Feng heard the laughter of countless women filling his ears. When he looked at the female poison master again, the scene shifted—she appeared to be performing a seductive dance, swaying her graceful waist and slowly revealing her fair skin as she lifted her clothes.
"Handsome, come here!" she called out, her voice dripping with sweetness. Lin Feng felt a surge of wicked fire coursing through him, and an intense, overwhelming desire began to rise.
