Dozens of soldiers fell. This mutant zombie possessed abilities far surpassing the others, wielding both an energy magnetic field and laser beams, which left the remaining soldiers too terrified to advance.

"Scatter! I’ll deal with it," Luo Bing shouted. She rarely lost her composure, but she felt responsible for the deaths of her comrades, believing her warning had come a second too late.

Grasping her wind-and-thunder-imbued short blade, Luo Bing gritted her teeth. Her speed surged, and she appeared directly before the zombie, delivering a slash that crackled with the sound of wind and thunder.

The zombie was formidable indeed. It dodged her strike, its eyes flared, and it unleashed a laser beam that swept toward her.

"Look out!" the nearby soldiers cried in alarm.

However, Luo Bing was exceptionally skilled. Facing the sudden beam, she pushed her speed to the absolute limit, leaping over the laser just before it could strike her, and immediately countered with another slash.

This time, the strike found its mark, slicing into the monster’s eyes. The creature’s eyes burst, and the laser beam instantly vanished.

"Big Sis is mighty!" the surrounding soldiers cheered. A barrage of gunfire followed, pelting the monster’s head, but its energy magnetic field proved too resilient, blocking every bullet and keeping it alive.

Luo Bing raised her arm, signaling the gunfire to cease. She charged again, her short blade relentlessly battering the monster’s magnetic field. The zombie fought back, its arms striking out like cannonballs with incredible speed.

Luo Bing was agile, moving through the onslaught unscathed while landing repeated blows. Though the areas protected by the magnetic field were impenetrable, she focused on the exposed sections, inflicting considerable damage.

Ten minutes later, the monster’s knees were severed, and it collapsed. Its magnetic field grew unstable, likely due to the loss of balance.

"Die!" Luo Bing activated the energy release function of her blade. A crackle of electricity surged, and she unleashed all the accumulated wind and thunder energy at once.

She drove her blade into the magnetic field. It held for only a moment before shattering with a loud crack. The blade plunged into the monster’s brain, and its body began to swell rapidly.

Luo Bing retreated immediately, signaling her comrades to clear the area.

Three seconds later, the bloated monster exploded, releasing a torrent of toxic liquid and mist. Soldiers wearing biochemical protective suits were already prepared, quickly burying the toxic residue; almost no one was injured.

"Victory!" The elimination of this powerful mutant zombie pushed the reputation of Luo Bing and the other Star-Radiance Warriors to its peak. They truly lived up to their title as the last hope of humanity.

Luo Bing wiped the sweat from her forehead, finally relaxing.

Suddenly, her earpiece crackled with urgent warnings from Liu Chuxing, Sam, and Alfred: "Big Sis, look out! We’re coming to support you!"

Luo Bing looked up at the night sky and saw several shadows expanding above her. A massive wind pressure descended, triggering sirens throughout the military camp.

"Damn it!" Luo Bing dashed away, realizing she was the target.

With a sound like thunder, eight massive zombies, seven or eight meters tall, crashed down from the sky. They were far more formidable than any mutant zombie encountered before, encased in sturdy, armor-like shells. Each was surrounded by a shield-like energy magnetic field and armed with a long, crimson blade.

"I’m here, Big Sis!" Liu Chuxing leaped in, landing beside Luo Bing, followed by Alfred and Sam. The four stood back-to-back, facing the eight high-level mutant zombies.

Gunfire erupted, but the bullets were blocked by the zombies' magnetic fields. The monsters raised their blades and swung, sending crimson sword energy slicing through the fortifications. The defensive line collapsed, and the surrounding horde of zombies, emboldened by the breach, roared and charged in.

Casualties mounted. The line was crumbling, and Luo Bing and her team were too overwhelmed to provide aid, struggling to survive themselves.

Amidst the roars, Luo Bing and the others watched in despair as more than a dozen mysterious figures in white robes leaped over the defenses and hovered above the camp.

"Humans, surrender and we shall spare your lives," one of the white-robed figures said with a cold, masculine voice.

"In your dreams!"
"Never!"
"Go to hell!"
"Your grandfather isn't interested!"

The four replied in unison. The white-robed figure laughed wildly: "Spirited, but too weak—mere ants! Kill them!"

At his command, the eight zombie warriors' eyes flared, and they raised their crimson blades in unison.

Luo Bing, Liu Chuxing, Sam, and Alfred felt the weight of their desperate situation. Surrounded by high-level zombies and over a dozen unfathomable white-robed figures, escape seemed impossible.

"Fight to the death!" Luo Bing gripped her blades, her voice eerily calm.

"To follow Big Sis—I have no regrets, even in death!" Liu Chuxing transformed, his power surging.

Alfred removed his helmet, revealing his handsome face. He smoothed his golden hair, of which he was always so proud, and remarked, "To die in the company of a beauty—what more could one ask for?"

Sam spat in disdain. "I just hate these bastards, hiding until the very last second. Let's make this count."

Luo Bing felt grateful for her three loyal comrades. With them by her side, she could fight without reservation. She set her heart on taking at least one white-robed figure down with her.

Boom!

A sudden arrow of fire tore through the air with blinding speed. Fired from hundreds of meters away, it moved like magic: it pierced the temple of the first zombie warrior, circled the field, and drilled through the heads of all eight, instantly burning them to ash.

A single arrow had eliminated all eight warriors. It stunned Luo Bing’s team and sent a wave of terror through the white-robed figures.

A familiar voice echoed: "Children of the Blood Clan, I've finally caught up with you. I am quite pleased."

"Xia Zheng?" Luo Bing recognized the voice instantly. Liu Chuxing, Sam, and Alfred were struck with disbelief—how was this possible? He had been buried in the zombie swarm at the very beginning.

Following a series of sonic booms, a human with wings sprouted from his back descended, drawing his bow and aiming at the white-robed figures like a god.

In that moment, Luo Bing and her team realized that this man had surpassed them, the Star-Radiance Warriors—he had surpassed the very limits of humanity.
