Inside the Imperial Plaza:

Ye Zhiqiu, covered in wounds, gazed at his opponent with excitement. Although his physical condition appeared dire, his spirit was becoming increasingly valiant. In contrast, while the Tyrant possessed formidable regenerative abilities, its aura had clearly weakened significantly.

The creature was baffled. In terms of stamina, Ye Zhiqiu had clearly expended more energy than it had. With his constant bleeding, he should have been at the end of his rope by now, yet his mental state only continued to improve. Was he one of those types seen in ridiculous anime who grew more insane the longer they fought?

"A truly exhilarating battle!" Ye Zhiqiu stood opposite the creature, catching his breath, and said solemnly, "But every fight must come to an end. If we keep going like this, I might really die."

"Grr!" The Tyrant roared in response. If it could speak, it would surely have mocked him: "So you can recognize reality after all! I thought you were immortal!"

"Haha!" As if he could understand the creature's thoughts, Ye Zhiqiu laughed aloud before rubbing his bald head. "How could a human be immortal?"

The Tyrant: "..."

Ye Zhiqiu steeled his gaze, assuming the stance of the Bright Moon Meditation Style. He focused his mental energy to the limit, knowing that with his remaining stamina, he had to use it effectively or he would truly fall here.

Just as the climax of the battle was approaching, a figure suddenly stepped between them, causing the momentum of both sides to stall.

"Where is Cang Mingyue?" Guo Lang asked, looking at Ye Zhiqiu with an expressionless face.

"You..." Ye Zhiqiu was stunned, staring blankly at him. "Who are you?"

"Hm?" Guo Lang frowned. At that moment, the Tyrant, faced with this uninvited guest, suddenly roared and charged. It no longer acted with the caution it had shown before, even though this man felt more dangerous than anyone it had encountered thus far.

Bang! Without even turning his head, Guo Lang caught the creature's full-force strike with one hand. The black scythe was gripped firmly, unable to move an inch. The cracked ground beneath his feet revealed the sheer force of the blow, yet it hadn't even scratched his skin.

The scene shocked both the Tyrant and Ye Zhiqiu. Both were power-based fighters; although Ye Zhiqiu had not yet undergone his class advancement, in terms of raw attributes, his strength was among the best in their team.

The Tyrant’s strength surpassed his own, yet its full-force attack had been casually blocked with one hand? Guo Lang hadn't even shifted his stance. What level of disparity was required to achieve such a feat?

The next moment, Guo Lang raised his military saber and cleaved the five-meter-tall, burly Tyrant in two. It was a simple, brutal attack, yet the creature had no ability to resist. The Tyrant, which had entangled Ye Zhiqiu for so long, was simply sliced in half.

Blood sprayed like a fountain. Ye Zhiqiu, bathed in the rain of blood, stared at Guo Lang in a daze and asked again, "Who are you?"

"We haven't been apart for long, and you don't recognize your captain?" Guo Lang’s voice remained cold, even when addressing his favorite team member.

"You are not Guo Lang!" Faced with such an aura, Ye Zhiqiu did not yield in the slightest.

"Oh?" Guo Lang frowned, a flicker of murderous intent rising in his eyes at those words. Feeling that killing intent, Ye Zhiqiu’s pupils contracted, and he gripped his sword firmly. He knew it was impossible for him to contend with the strength the man had just displayed, but a swordsman's honor would not allow him to fear any battle.

"Oh, you're here already?" A gentle greeting came from afar. Guo Lang paused; he recognized the voice—it was Xie Lin's.

"Is the boss dead?" Xie Lin asked with a smile.

"Why are you standing so far away?" Guo Lang turned and looked coldly at Xie Lin.

"I don't dare get too close given your current state," Xie Lin continued, still smiling.

Guo Lang took a step forward, expressionless. "Does it matter?"

With that slight step, Xie Lin, a hundred meters away, suddenly felt a bone-chilling cold. He was shocked, thinking, "Are you kidding me? Is this distance also within his kill range?" Even Little Cang’s range was thirty meters at most.

"Hm?" Guo Lang offered a cold smile at the wary Xie Lin. Suddenly, he seemed to sense something. His figure flickered and vanished from Xie Lin's sight. Xie Lin felt a wave of relief; he could tell Guo Lang’s target was not him.

He looked toward the direction Guo Lang had taken—it was the tallest building, the one Guo Lang and Alice had entered first.

"Let’s go take a look," Xie Lin said to Ye Zhiqiu.

Ye Zhiqiu nodded solemnly. "Thanks for earlier."

"Don't mention it," Xie Lin narrowed his eyes. "If he can turn against you, the one he is closest to, he can turn against us. In that case, he is an enemy."

***

On the top floor of the building, Alice adjusted her breathing calmly, gazing at the pink succubus. Ever since she had injected the bloodline, she had never encountered such a tricky opponent. Not only were its speed and reflexes on par with hers, but it also used all sorts of strange illusions to interfere with her judgment.

"You're hurt?" A cold female voice sounded behind Alice. The voice made Alice’s expression darken; if she had to have reinforcements, this was the last person she wanted to see.

"Just a scratch," Alice replied coldly.

Cang Mingyue gazed at the two figures with burning intensity. What excellent genes!

"Shall I take a look for you?" Cang Mingyue moved toward Alice.

A frigid murderous aura erupted from Alice, aimed directly at Cang Mingyue. Alice warned coldly, "Try taking another step forward."

A wounded beast is getting desperate... The burning look in Cang Mingyue's eyes intensified. She laughed, "Fine, then I will try."

Just as she was about to step forward, a cold voice came from the corridor: "You’ve got a lot of free time, woman."

Cang Mingyue’s body stiffened at the sound. She whirled around to face the direction, on high alert. Sensitive to auras, she immediately sensed how incredibly dangerous the newcomer was.

The next moment, Guo Lang’s figure flashed, passing through Cang Mingyue and appearing behind Alice. This eerie movement and speed shocked all three high-agility individuals present.

"Father..." Alice stared at Guo Lang in a daze.

Upon hearing Alice call him father, Guo Lang’s originally cold expression stiffened. A strange light flashed in his eyes. He looked at Alice very carefully, but in her eyes, aside from worry and surprise, there was only the joy of seeing him.

No wonder... that guy liked her so much. What in this world could refuse such unreserved trust?

"Go over there and rest," Guo Lang pointed to an empty space nearby. He tried to make his voice sound indifferent, but it was obvious to everyone that it had changed; the originally icy tone now carried an inexplicable warmth.

"Okay!" Alice nodded obediently and flashed to the spot Guo Lang had indicated. Black runes suddenly appeared on the floor there. It was unexpected, but Alice did not feel any tension; she simply squatted down, looking at the flickering runes with curiosity.

"A defensive formation!" Cang Mingyue stared at the formation with a dark expression. She recognized it; it was a formation Xie Lin often used. Wasn't this guy unable to imitate Yin-side skills? And why had his temperament changed so drastically?

"The leader of the other side has escaped and should be nearby. I don't have much time; you go find him!" Guo Lang said, tossing Ian’s severed hand over with a stiff tone.

Cang Mingyue caught the hand, feeling unaccustomed to the commanding tone. A strange look flashed in her eyes as she pointed at the succubus and laughed, "It’s very powerful; even Alice couldn't beat it. Are you sure you don't want my help?"

"Alice could have beaten it..." Alice protested from the side. "If you guys hadn't come, Alice would have won in the end!"

"Look at you..." Guo Lang said with a cold expression, leaving his back wide open to her. "If you want to stay, then stay."

Looking at Guo Lang’s completely exposed posture, Cang Mingyue’s black pupils contracted. She remained silent for a long moment, but in the end, she didn't make a move. Instead, she bowed, grabbed the severed hand Guo Lang had thrown, and stepped backward, very carefully, until she was out.

This scene left the arriving Xie Lin and Ye Zhiqiu looking incredibly grave.
