Chapter 121: Battle!

Livestreaming From Another World Senbei eats oysters. 2325 words 2026-03-30 07:18:53

The camera! The camera! Damn it, why didn't I think of that earlier?

Chen Bo felt like slapping himself. He couldn't believe he had made such a rookie mistake; it really didn't align with his supposedly high IQ. He had completely forgotten that the camera came with a night-vision function. This meant that no matter how dark the surroundings were, the footage captured by the system-provided camera would look as clear as day—albeit a little eerie.

Just imagine: the live stream looks like it’s broad daylight, yet the sky above is filled with a crescent moon and a cluster of twinkling stars. The visual was beyond bizarre.

Chen Bo possessed the "multitasking" skill, a free perk. He could easily divert his focus to watch the camera's feed in the live stream. With this, he no longer had to fear the darkness, nor did he need to carry an oil lamp every single moment.

At this thought, Chen Bo tossed the oil lamp aside without hesitation. He had put so much effort into procuring the thing, only to find it utterly useless and the source of such a massive headache. What a waste.

As for the credit for finding the system fragment? Well, what did the oil lamp have to do with that? It was clearly his own good luck! Yes, that was exactly it!

Chen Bo shifted his gaze to the live stream, and his view instantly became clear and sharp. However, he felt no joy, because right in front of him was a dead end!

Damn it to hell! Was he really this unlucky? Chen Bo was completely dumbfounded. A dead end in front, and the giant serpent king closing in fast from behind.

It seemed he only had one path left: fight his way out!

"The streamer finally realized how foolish he was. Thank goodness, he hasn't reached the point of terminal stupidity yet."

"Oink, oink! You all knew the camera had this function, so why didn't you tell the streamer? Don't you know he could've died if he'd been even slightly less careful?"

"I wanted to tell him! But there are way too many spammers in the chat. My messages were buried in less than half a second."

"Terrifying. I told you guys not to spam so much; you almost got the streamer killed. Some people troll their parents or their kids, but this is the first time I've seen people troll a streamer. Truly, I've learned something new today."

"Anyway, do you think the streamer can make it out alive? Just seeing the snakes through the screen gives me goosebumps. He must be in grave danger right now! Remember, he's all alone, and there are at least a few thousand snakes. Most importantly, the terrain is a labyrinth—he's clearly lost. It'll be a miracle if he survives."

"Following that logic, doesn't that mean the streamer is going to kick the bucket today? But he's a transmigrator, surely he won't die that easily, right?"

"Did you forget the system said if the streamer dies, someone else will replace him? Maybe once he dies, it'll be my turn to shine."

"You idiot, who knows if the next streamer will be from Earth? If they're from another world, they wouldn't care about us Earthlings at all!"

"Why are you all so sure he's going to die? Where's your confidence coming from?"

"The streamer is blocked by the snakes, and he's at a dead end!"

"Can't you use your sub-par IQs to think for a second? Actually, never mind, I don't know what I'm saying. I think I'm just bored and looking to stir up trouble."

"Brother, you've successfully attracted my ire. I'll tell you this: you'd better hope I never see you, or I'll show you exactly how a chrysanthemum blooms so brilliantly."

"Suddenly my butt clenched. You have such a strange hobby—does your wife know? That's terrifying. I feel like my roommates are looking at me strangely now; don't tell me they have this hobby too?"

"Pfft, you'd better watch out for your roommates. Don't go drinking with them, or you're in for a world of trouble."

"Huh? Why can't I go drinking with them? Can a veteran explain?"

"Are you slow? If they're interested in you, they'll seize the chance to get you drunk, take you to a secluded hotel, and I think you know what happens next! Good luck, kid!"

"But I'm a girl..."

"Oh, sister, just ignore what I said. If you're a girl, there's nothing to worry about. Besides, a bunch of girls getting together... how lovely is that?"

"Bah! Your logic is twisted! If there were a few more lesbians in this world, there'd be that many more single men, that many more 'Old Wangs' next door, and that many more innocent brothers being cheated on."

"What a brilliant summary. Turns out you're the true veteran here. I'm impressed."

Four or five meters behind Chen Bo was a natural stone wall. He turned sharply and discovered the giant serpent was less than ten meters away! Its bloodthirsty maw suddenly stretched wide, its upper and lower jaws forming nearly a 180-degree angle, almost a straight line.

A foul, fishy stench washed over Chen Bo. Just as the serpent's gaping maw was about to strike, Chen Bo rolled aside by pure instinct, narrowly avoiding the attack.

The serpent's bite slammed into a large boulder beside him. Its immense jaw strength shattered the rock—which was as large as a tofu mill—as easily as if it were a piece of tofu!

The flying stone shards pelted Chen Bo, making him grimace in pain. While he wasn't injured, it still stung!

Although this giant serpent couldn't use elemental energy like a spirit beast, its raw physical strength was absolutely insane!

Missing its strike, the serpent seemed surprised. It couldn't comprehend how this ant had dodged its lethal blow.

It didn't bother to ponder, though; it whipped its massive tail at Chen Bo. The aim was off, however, and it missed him, but it struck his longsword, shattering it against the wall!

One had to remember, that was a treasure-grade sword! To have it snapped like that... just how absurd was this serpent's defense?!

Chen Bo gritted his teeth and pulled a heavy-backed saber from his system inventory.

He had gotten this from Maji; it was the most powerful weapon he currently owned, reaching the level of an early-stage elemental weapon!

Chen Bo refused to believe the serpent’s defense was truly that impenetrable. He would find out soon enough!
