He Zheyu did not reach out to take the insulated lunch box He Yurou handed her. Instead, she let He Yurou continue holding it and asked, "You used to always chatter about your good friend when you got in the car, but today you’re so quiet. What’s wrong?"

He Yurou turned her body back, placed the lunch box on her lap, lowered her head, and replied in a subdued tone, "Ever since I started dating Qingwu, I feel like Qinghan has been avoiding me. She used to ask me to join her for class and meals, but now she hardly ever does."

Hearing this, He Zheyu was secretly delighted. A trace of a smile flickered across her handsome face—a hint of triumph that was inadvertently caught by Han Mo in the rearview mirror to his right. Their eyes met, and Han Mo, nervous, choked on his own saliva and coughed for quite a while.

Seeing this, He Yurou asked with concern, "Han Mo, have you caught a cold?"

"No… just a tickle in my throat, just a tickle," Han Mo replied.

He Zheyu drove He Yurou to her dormitory. Before she could get out, she saw Han Mo, who had already gotten out, open the trunk and take something out.

He Yurou got out to find herself bewildered by the piles of snacks and fruit placed beside the flowerbed. She asked in confusion, "Uncle, what are you doing? There’s so much food, how could I possibly finish it all or bring it back to my dorm?"

Still sitting in the car, He Zheyu brought his clenched fist to his mouth and coughed lightly, casting a glance at Han Mo. He explained, "These were originally bought by Han Mo to appease his girlfriend. Unfortunately, this morning Han Mo got a call—his girlfriend broke up with him. Don’t you think it would be even sadder for Han Mo to have to look at all these now? Wouldn't it be better if you shared them with your roommates?"

Han Mo, still dazed, played along at once. He put on a heartbroken expression, tears quickly welling up in his eyes, and said in a voice on the verge of breaking, "Miss Yurou, please have mercy and help me get rid of all these things that only bring me pain!"

Even Han Mo was a little shocked by his own performance.

He Yurou took out her phone and dialed Mo Qinghan’s number. After a few rings, when Mo Qinghan answered, He Yurou said, "Qinghan, could you please come downstairs and help me carry some things? Are Dai Yawen and Zhang Wen there too? Ask them to come as well—there’s way too much!"

A single "Okay" sounded on the other end before the call was hung up.

Not long after, Mo Qinghan came down with the other two girls from their dorm. The first person Mo Qinghan noticed was Han Mo, then she saw He Zheyu sitting in the car. Mo Qinghan remembered the clause in her agreement with He Zheyu—that if they met outside, she should treat him as a stranger. So, she pretended not to see him and simply nodded to Han Mo in greeting.

Dai Yawen and Zhang Wen, seeing the mountain of snacks and fruit, exclaimed in astonishment, "Yurou, are you moving the whole supermarket into our dorm?"

He Yurou gave an awkward laugh and rolled her eyes at Han Mo. Suddenly realizing she was still holding He Zheyu’s breakfast, she turned to hand it to Han Mo, saying, "Here—" But before she could complete the gesture, He Zheyu interrupted, "Wasn’t that meant for Mo Qinghan? Why give it to Han Mo?"

As soon as He Zheyu spoke, Dai Yawen and Zhang Wen’s attention was drawn to the car. Both caught sight of the strikingly handsome He Zheyu inside, and were instantly captivated, their cheeks flushed with a rosy hue.
