“You’re letting a supervised person out?” Wang Qian seemed at a loss. “You’re not going to interfere with our mission, are you? If you do, even as public security officers, don’t blame me for not showing respect.”
“You must be Mr. Wang Qian,” one of the officers replied with a smile. “You’re exactly as described in the files—direct and hot-tempered. Rest assured, our only task is to watch over Du Wanting. We won’t interfere with your mission, so there’s no need to worry.”
“You’ve investigated me?” Wang Qian’s gaze turned icy as he looked at the officers.
One spoke softly, “Du Wanting is now a key subject for the Public Security Bureau. So, any requirements related to her mission, we have to look into. Please don’t take offense, Mr. Wang Qian.”
“But you needn’t worry. As a level thirty Guardian Knight, we don’t have the means to stop you from completing your task.”
“We’re only responsible for Du Wanting. The rest doesn’t concern us.”
Satisfied with their answer, Wang Qian said, “In that case, it has nothing to do with me. Do as you please, but if you interfere with my mission, even as public security officers, don’t blame me for showing no courtesy.”
“Understood.”
“Just one person left. Is he coming or not?”
The start time was approaching. Gao Gen looked at the officers and asked, “You’ve probably investigated all of us. Who’s the last person? Is he coming?”
The officer glanced at everyone present. “Mr. Gao Gen, Mr. Wang Qian, Mr. Gao Chong, Miss Du Yuting, and the last one is Mr. Lin Han from Huiyue City.”
“We only have basic information. As for whether he’ll come, that’s not for us to know. After all, his jurisdiction belongs to Huiyue City. We don’t have the authority to supervise there.”
