Beneath that proud female voice, the people of Dragon Garden erupted in fury. Every one of them stood tense and ready, swords drawn, as though they might charge at any moment!
Radiant Heavy Cavalry was overwhelmed with frustration. They had not even established their guild yet, and they had already provoked such a massive organization. This was absolutely disastrous! The Radiant Guild wanted to dominate Frostwind City, but they had no intention of making enemies indiscriminately.
As one of the guild’s senior members, Radiant Heavy Cavalry could only brace himself and step forward.
“Our Radiant Guild has no desire to become enemies with any of you. I believe there must be some misunderstanding here!”
“Hmph—misunderstanding!?”
The proud girl spoke again. Lin Zheng curiously turned his gaze toward the girl Xiaomeng had called Xiaomo. She was an archer dressed in an extraordinarily ornate yet utterly impractical red leather outfit purchased from the equipment shop.
Still, one had to admit that the girl possessed an exceptional air about her. The gorgeous leather armor did not look vulgar on her at all. Instead, it made her appear even more noble. Taking her tone into account, Lin Zheng could already tell that she was unmistakably the daughter of a wealthy family—and apparently one with quite a temper.
It was difficult to imagine that such a self-centered young lady could also become infatuated with Yuxi. It was truly a miracle!
“Slurp—”
Lin Zheng turned his head and saw Yang Qi greedily sucking in her saliva.
“What an absolute beauty!” she exclaimed. “Look at those legs! They must be at least four feet long! She’s gorgeous!”
“What the heck? I never knew you were into girls!”
Lin Zheng stared at Yang Qi in astonishment.
Yang Qi rolled her eyes at him. “What do you know? Who says liking a girl makes someone a lesbian? I’m merely appreciating her! Appreciating, understand? I’m appreciating her with the purest of eyes!”
Pure? You?
Lin Zheng rolled his eyes. If she was pure, then there wouldn’t be a single lecherous man left in the world!
He would have to keep an eye on her from now on, lest she turn her wicked claws toward Yuxi and the others.
“Look at those four-foot legs! I refuse to believe you aren’t tempted!”
Lin Zheng glanced at Xiaomo again.
“She’s just a long-legged beauty. It’s not as though I’ve never seen one before. Besides, her chest is a little small. She’s nothing like our Lilith—she has both the chest and the legs!”
“Shameless wolves, the two of you!”
Lilith’s cheeks flushed red as she scolded them. Her bashful expression was breathtakingly beautiful.
Unaware that the two wolves were discussing her figure, Xiaomo sneered at Radiant Heavy Cavalry.
“One time might be called a misunderstanding, but what about twice? Earlier, dozens of you surrounded our Yuxi, and now you’ve brought even more people to gang up on her! Do you have no shame!?”
She isn’t alone!
Radiant Heavy Cavalry desperately wanted to say that. If Yuxi had truly been alone, they would have taken her down long ago. They would not still be standing here, waiting for all of you to arrive!

“Why are you still wasting your breath on them? Anyone who harms our Yuxi, no matter how far away they flee, must be destroyed! Kill them all!”
“That’s right! Kill them all! Brothers, charge! Let’s avenge our Yuxi!”
“Kill!”
Xiaomo was merely the leader of the girls’ support group. She had no control over the boys. In an instant, a huge crowd of young men roared and charged forward, presumably eager to show off in front of Yuxi.
There was no need for her to restrain them anyway. Every one of them was already burning with rage. If they were held back any longer, the girls would probably riot as well.
So Xiaomo waved her hand.
“Sisters! Charge! Rescue our Yuxi!”
“Kill!”
With that, a vast army of girls cried out and charged toward the several hundred members of the Radiant Guild who remained.
Radiant Heavy Cavalry watched in horror as thousands of soldiers stormed toward them. After freezing for a moment, he quickly regained his senses, raised his sword, and shouted at the top of his lungs:
“Retreat!”
No one could accuse him of cowardice for ordering a retreat at a time like this. Several hundred against several thousand—only an idiot would stay behind and fight to the death!
Their leader had spoken, so the underlings naturally obeyed. Before the battle had even begun, the Radiant Guild players scattered and fled.
However, the students of Dragon Garden were still seething with rage. Their blood was up, and they had no intention of letting the guild escape so easily. Thousands of them immediately set off in hot pursuit of the few hundred fleeing players.
“Yuxi!”
Xiaomo did not follow the main force. Instead, she rushed to Lin Zheng and the others, her face filled with concern as she wrapped her arms around Yuxi.
After giving Yuxi a good, tight hug, Xiaomo carefully examined her from head to toe and asked nervously, “They didn’t hurt you, did they? Were you frightened, Yuxi?”
Yuxi shook her head, indicating that she was fine. Only then did Xiaomo let out a sigh of relief.
“Heehee! I’m fine! Divine Brother and the others protected us!” Xiaomeng said brightly.
The moment Xiaomo heard her voice, she glared at her furiously.
“You silly girl! Yuxi was being bullied, and you didn’t notify us immediately? If I hadn’t heard the broadcast just now, I wouldn’t even have known she was in trouble again!”
“I was so nervous that I forgot!” Xiaomeng muttered, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
“I’ll show you what nervous means! I’ll show you!”
Gritting her teeth, Xiaomo grabbed Xiaomeng by the ear. Xiaomeng cried out in pain.
“If this happens again, you can go to the support group’s assembly and apologize on your knees!”
“Boohoo! I won’t do it again! Please spare me!”
As Xiaomeng whimpered and begged for mercy, Lin Zheng suddenly realized how adorable she looked. Unable to resist, he snapped a screenshot and casually posted it on the forum.
He had no idea that this careless act would win Xiaomeng a huge number of fans. Xiaomo, the haughty young lady in the image, also unleashed an overwhelming amount of cuteness and became the dream girl of countless admirers of wealthy heiresses.

“Phew…”
Xiaomo exhaled at length and looked helplessly at Xiaomeng.
“When will you become a little smarter, silly girl? Never mind. Tell me about the two boys beside Yuxi. How did you allow them to get so close to her? Are you trying to violate the iron rule of our support group?”
As she spoke, she glared at Lin Zheng and Xiran with open hostility.
In her eyes, no man was worth trusting. Every single one of them was a lustful wolf. If she had not seen Lin Zheng protecting Yuxi earlier, she probably would have ordered the two of them to be hacked to pieces on the spot.
“Well, this is different!” Xiaomeng said nervously. “Divine Brother is Yuxi’s older brother. He’s a really good person!”
“Oh? Is that so?”
Though Xiaomo heard her, the arrogance on her face made it clear that she did not accept Lin Zheng as Yuxi’s brother.
At that moment, Yuxi glanced at Lin Zheng’s gloomy expression, then turned to Xiaomo and softly said, “Mo, this is Lin Zheng. He’s the older brother of my childhood friend.”
“Really?”
The same words, spoken by Yuxi, instantly put a smile on Xiaomo’s face. She looked genuinely delighted as she turned to Lin Zheng.
“So you’re Yuxi’s older brother! It’s a pleasure to meet you. My name is Lin Mo!”
Lin Zheng was speechless.
Was Yuxi’s charm really that powerful? She had actually caused this heiress’s attitude to change by a full one hundred and eighty degrees!
That said, it was only on the surface. Lin Zheng could still see from Xiaomo’s eyes that she was not being sincere. Her gaze was full of vigilance, though he had no idea what she was so wary of.
So Lin Zheng smiled and said, “A pleasure to meet you too, Your Ladyship, Heavenly Consort!”
Xiaomo frowned. “Why are you calling me Heavenly Consort? What kind of title is that?”
“You don’t know?” Lin Zheng asked with exaggerated surprise. “The Heavenly Consort is Mazu. How could you not know such a famous goddess?”
“Uh…”
Xiaomo paused.
“I’ve heard of her, but what does that have to do with me?”
“Your name is Lin Mo! Mazu’s name is Lin Mo too. So naturally, that makes you her!”
Seeing the teasing smile on Lin Zheng’s face, Xiaomo immediately realized that he was making fun of her. Yet the girl had an astonishing amount of composure. Rather than explode, she calmly said:
“Since you know the identity of this goddess, why have you not yet paid your respects?”
Her reply left Lin Zheng completely speechless. He had meant to tease her, only to have the joke turned back on him.
His expression changed, becoming solemn.
This girl was no simpleton.
