Chapter 31: Fleecing Electrolux! A New World to Yearn For!
5.5 million Luck Points?
Hmm... After all, this is an existence capable of rivaling gods in a mortal body. Even if it is only a remnant soul, its quality is comparable to a divine soul. It is essentially a cultivation technique for creating deities, so the price is quite reasonable.
He tried to set up an installment plan, but even the starting payment required 100,000 Luck Points. Zhuge Lan spent 1 Luck Point to check the details, only to find that the first level could only nurture Electrolux’s remnant soul without strengthening it; it would take until the fifth level to achieve that.
He couldn't afford it, so he initiated Plan B.
---
Condition: Restore Electrolux’s memories regarding mental power training methods!
Cost: 150,000 Luck Points!
Create?
---
Oh! So cheap?
After spending 1 Luck Point to investigate, he realized that this remnant soul of Electrolux carried all the knowledge from his previous life; it just needed to be restored to be recalled. Therefore, these 150,000 Luck Points were essentially being used for his restoration.
Excellent! Doesn't this just provide a free skill library?
But unfortunately... He spent another Luck Point to check, and found that the system of the *Divine Throne* world was not entirely compatible with the *Douluo Dalu* world. It was hard to say how many could actually be learned. Not to mention, Electrolux had Light and Dark attributes, which did not align with them at all; they could only learn skills related to mental power.
Zhuge Lan clicked his tongue in regret. Fine.
He spent 150,000 Luck Points to restore Electrolux’s remnant soul. More streams of light overflowed from Zhuge Lan’s body, flowing like a river into Electrolux. His aura grew stronger by the second.
A few minutes later, Electrolux slowly opened his eyes. His aura returned to simplicity and was restrained, his eyes gleaming with wisdom.
"Interesting. I did not expect such a journey after death, to encounter like-minded friends."
"This is my method of mental power training. You may take a look."
Electrolux raised his hand and released two points of light. One drifted toward Zhuge Lan; as it merged, he discovered it contained not only information but also a vast amount of ownerless mental power. After digesting it briefly, he absorbed it all, converting it entirely into spiritual telekinesis. He estimated his quantity could triple.
[Fate of Electrolux, Tianmeng Iceworm, and Huo Yuhao rewritten, +25,000 Luck Points!]
—Huo Yuhao Special Edition.
Hey! Earned back a third of the cost.
This mental power training method, to be precise, consisted of two skills:
—Undead Sacrifice: Allows the undead to voluntarily become nourishment to strengthen the host’s mental power!
—Light of Purification: Clears mental impurities to increase purity and remove negative effects!
One light, one dark—perfectly fitting for Electrolux’s identity as a Light-attribute Undead Archmage. As for the source of undead materials, that was simple: Electrolux possessed an Undead Half-Plane, and there were plenty of undead within it.
But the problem was—he couldn't learn these! Unless he used Luck Points.
Learning the Undead Half-Plane: 10,000 Luck Points!
Learning Undead Sacrifice: 40,000 Luck Points!
Learning Light of Purification: 50,000 Luck Points!
That added up to 100,000 Luck Points, even more than awakening spiritual telekinesis. Individually, they didn't look like much, but what if his mental world became crowded in the future?
So... Zhuge Lan set his sights on Electrolux.
"These three skills, it seems you could handle them for us, right?"
As soon as Electrolux heard this, he understood Zhuge Lan’s plan. This was an attempt to freeload off him.
"I won't let you work for free," Zhuge Lan laughed. "100,000 Luck Points per head, all to restore your strength."
Electrolux looked at Zhuge Lan with a cryptic smile. Easy to say. When Huo Yuhao encountered trouble in the future, could he really refrain from helping? In the end, it was still an investment in Huo Yuhao. However, since everyone was now residing in the same mental world, paying a little "rent" was only fair.
"Very well," Electrolux agreed. "But keep the Luck Points for now. I prefer quiet, and I wish to create a second sea of consciousness."
"That is entirely unnecessary," Zhuge Lan spoiled the plot. "In a short while, little Yuhao will obtain the Gold of Life, which will be enough for you to open a second sea of consciousness."
Electrolux raised an eyebrow and nodded in agreement. "Then let us try."
He waved his hand. Huo Yuhao’s spiritual projection appeared, looking at the three of them as if waking from a dream.
"What's going on?"
Electrolux looked at Zhuge Lan, and Zhuge Lan looked at the Tianmeng Iceworm.
Tianmeng Iceworm: "..." Who told it that it hadn't contributed anything? It deserved to do the manual labor. It stepped forward and explained the situation to Huo Yuhao.
"That's a good thing," Huo Yuhao smiled. "What do I need to do?"
"Little Yuhao, I need to borrow your body for a moment," Electrolux said. "Opening the Undead Half-Plane for the first time requires a physical medium; it won't be necessary afterward."
Huo Yuhao did not hesitate and nodded immediately.
"No problem! But I am currently in the middle of dual cultivation with Wang Dong, will that be an issue? Should I go outside and find an empty space?"
"It is of no consequence," Electrolux replied.
The next second, he took control of Huo Yuhao’s body. Without any obvious movement, a gray six-pointed star array was outlined in the air. An eerie and gloomy aura spread out, followed by a flash of gray light.
The entire dormitory was packed with something; before one could look closely, the mysterious object twisted into a vortex, injecting itself into the center of Huo Yuhao’s forehead.
Inside the mental world, a translucent octopus, a hundred meters tall, was about to roar at the sky, but upon seeing Electrolux, it paused and scrambled to prostrate itself on the ground.
"God! You have finally summoned your subject! Did you summon me to purge these small fries?" It raised its tentacles, pointing at Zhuge Lan, Huo Yuhao, and the Tianmeng Iceworm.
"No," Electrolux said calmly. "Tear off your tentacles and offer them as spiritual sustenance for us."
The Undead Octopus was as decisive as Huo Yuhao had been just moments ago. It used seven tentacles to tear off the remaining one, then divided it into two equal parts, further splitting one part into three smaller portions.
One large and three small pieces turned into gray streams of light, burning as they shot into the bodies of the four.
Zhuge Lan felt his mental power surge several times over, but then manic emotions emerged. Cultivation via evil methods was fast, but it often carried side effects.
Electrolux raised his left hand, and a brilliant yet gentle golden light shone, dividing into one large and three small rays that dove into each of their bodies. The manic emotions were suppressed, along with the newly boosted mental power, which was temporarily locked.
However, that golden light continuously flowed with mental energy, devoid of any negative effects, pure and of extremely high quality. It only needed a slight compression to be converted into spiritual telekinesis.
"Hmm?" Electrolux said in surprise. "This spiritual telekinesis is of even higher quality than the purified mental power, differing only slightly from my remnant soul. It can even directly manipulate physical objects; it is truly miraculous."
Zhuge Lan was very savvy. He immediately spent 80,001 Luck Points to awaken spiritual telekinesis for Electrolux.
Tianmeng Iceworm: "..."
Without the pain and duration of Huo Yuhao’s awakening, Electrolux only closed his eyes and sensed it for a few seconds.
"So this is spiritual telekinesis."
"Zhuge, the system on your side is truly interesting. I really would like to go over and see it."
Go to *Swallowed Star* to take a look? That would be a stretch. Zhuge Lan had tried when he was bored, and that long string of zeros was enough to make one dizzy. Moreover, the power system of *Swallowed Star* completely crushed the *Divine Throne* and *Douluo* planes. The gap was too great.
But then again...
