Lately, I’ve become addicted to writing single chapters, so I’m putting out more. Over the years, I’ve come to understand why my attempts to branch out have faltered. Readers still prefer me to write about online games rather than venture into fantasy or cultivation genres—where countless masters already exist, and I’m just one among many. This reminds me faintly of my very first book, when I was clueless and didn’t even know how to name it properly. Its original title was something like "The Time-Travel Life of a Mediocre Game Booster," with a heavy anime vibe, imitating "A Certain Scientific...". Nowadays, long titles are quite trendy.

Even getting past the title was a challenge, and the narrative structure was chaotic. After 380,000 words, I still couldn’t get it signed. My readers feared the story would be abandoned and spread the word to help me get a deal, and eventually, the editor changed the title, haha! Then, at 550,000 words, it was published, met with waves of criticism and mediocre success. My fragile heart couldn’t take it. It was only the readers’ support and their fear that I’d quit that coaxed me along. That feeling of being comforted was truly heartwarming...
