Chapter Fourteen: The Sword of Destiny

The manipulation of dark energy should be an instinct for super soldiers, not something requiring complex procedures.
At the Super God Academy.
On the playground in front of the library.
Under the guidance of Teacher Ruiz, Ge Xiaolun took only a few minutes to initially master the driving of dark energy.
After a few more minutes, he became familiar with the operation of dark energy manipulation.
Although dark energy and the dark dimension are unreachable, intangible concepts for beings under the God-Creating civilization,
For super soldiers and gods endowed with super genes, they are as natural and ever-present as the material world is to mortals—the sunlight and clear water, the air and trees, the birdsong and fragrance of flowers.
"Exactly, exactly, exactly! Only by mastering the driving of dark energy can you unleash the fundamental power of the Galactic Force."
"For instance, your third-generation divine body and your invincible physique both require dark energy to maintain operation and unleash their true strength."
"The so-called indestructibility just means that during combat, they won't break. In other words, the divine body program and invincible physique program can only exhibit their strongest hardness, strength, and regenerative abilities when sufficiently energized."
Though the old man Ruiz looked somewhat unconventional, clad in a scholar's blue robe and leaning on his cane during instruction, he still carried the air of a scholar.
Grasping the Void Greatsword, Ge Xiaolun, under Ruiz’s tutelage, not only quickly became adept at driving dark energy, but also awakened an active flow of dark energy powering his minimally operating third-generation divine body and invincible physique.
Feeling the surging, newly uncovered immense power within his body, Ge Xiaolun looked at his fist, the size of a sandbag, and imagined that with a single punch, he could shatter a mountain!
In fact, he believed that if he fully tapped into his own power, destroying entire mountain ranges would be a mere trifle.
Standing quietly nearby, Du Qiangwei also sensed the overwhelming power radiating from Ge Xiaolun’s towering form.
It was the most basic intuitive perception shared among super soldiers.
Such formidable power, while causing a tremor in one’s heart, also inexplicably brought a sense of reassurance.
After all, aside from some earlier grievances she had toward Ge Xiaolun, from the moment he joined the Super God Academy, he was destined to be her powerful and most dependable comrade.
"Teacher Ruiz, can I use this Void Greatsword directly?"
After experiencing the strength of his own body, Ge Xiaolun didn’t linger in awe but quickly turned his gaze to the massive, door-sized Void Greatsword in his hand.
A hint of anticipation flashed in his deep eyes.
For his Galactic Force, aside from his anti-void engine, this heavy metallic greatsword was the most crucial combat component in the early stages.
Indeed, this Void Engine Greatsword was the most direct source of his early-stage destructive power.
"Of course you can."
Ruiz stroked his beard and nodded. "Besides you, no one else can wield this greatsword. Your super gene is the key to unlocking its activation.
By driving dark energy and infusing it into the sword, your dark energy will power the void engine within, transforming it into void energy.
It will unleash a terrifying power capable of slicing through anything.
Hey, hey, hey, stay back—this kid learns so fast..."
As he spoke, he saw Ge Xiaolun already infuse dark energy into the Void Greatsword. The void engine on the sword instantly activated, and the broad blade surged with eerie blue void energy, causing him to tremble with fear.
Though over three meters away, he hurriedly stepped back several paces and pulled Du Qiangwei aside, seemingly afraid Ge Xiaolun might accidentally swing the sword and harm them both.
Truth be told, he was genuinely scared.
As a scholar at the Super God Academy, he was most aware of the sword’s power.
And Ge Xiaolun certainly did not wield the sword recklessly. He stared intently at the greatsword brimming with divine power, feeling an unprecedented sense of security.
He knew exactly what Teacher Ruiz feared and fully understood the true might of the greatsword.
The Galactic Force’s Void Engine Greatsword was one of the pinnacle destructive weapons, whether in the early or later stages of the Heroic Legion.

It was the legendary Bloodthirsty Sword of Duoyan.
Also the most ironic divine weapon shattered by a single slap.
Though in the original story, this weapon in the hands of Ironhead Kid was mostly a nuisance to teammates or used to bash doors, at most killing a void engine beast.
Yet this did not diminish its inherent power: gods would fall before it, and Buddhas too.
A single sword strike could instantly kill a third-generation divine body or lower.
A fourth-generation divine body struck by it would still suffer grievous injuries.
Only a sufficiently powerful void engine, or other peak-level forces—like top-tier wormhole technology, silver-edged weapons, or stellar-level energies—could rival it.
Having mastered the driving of the Void Engine Greatsword, Ge Xiaolun knew his attack power was instantly maxed out.
Only now did he consider his foundational development of the Galactic Force’s combat power complete.
"Xiaolun, old man here has to remind you."
At this moment, the old man Ruiz looked at Ge Xiaolun gazing at the greatsword and could not help but speak again.
"Once infused with divine power, the Void Engine Greatsword’s power is terrifyingly sharp against enemies."
"But under no circumstances should you use it in sparring with allies. Or if you must, just use the sword’s flat side like a door to bash—never the edge!"
"Unless someday you can precisely control the void energy, otherwise one slash could be fatal even to us."
He repeated this warning tirelessly, his heart pounding.
If not for Ge Xiaolun’s strong initiative and rapid progress, he and Dukaou’s initial plan would have been to delay teaching this technique.
Too dangerous...
"Rest assured, Teacher Liu. I understand," Ge Xiaolun nodded.
In fact, with some foresight, he had already prepared for many occasions when he could not use the blade edge.
He waved the greatsword and even practiced the feel of bashing with the flat side, to avoid accidentally harming allies in critical moments.
And it must be said, using the Void Engine Greatsword as a door was also very satisfying.
Seeing him so obedient, Ruiz finally relaxed, greatly comforted.
At this moment, Ge Xiaolun’s power was indeed unstoppable.
At least in front of present-day Earth, it was practically out of control.
If this kid suddenly said, "I don’t eat beef..."
They would have no choice but to ask the Space Principal for help.
Though since last night, he had already been beyond their control.
Fortunately, despite occasional mischief, the child’s heart remained kind.
"So, what’s next? Shall we call upon the Dark Alloy Armor?"
Watching Ge Xiaolun practice door-bashing, the old man Ruiz cheerfully asked.
Teaching the Galactic Force, especially one so intelligent and cooperative, was truly satisfying for a teacher!
"No, that’s not urgent," Ge Xiaolun shook his head.
"I want to practice my flying ability first. Now that I’ve mastered dark energy manipulation, this adjustable power lets me finally improve my flight."
He looked at Teacher Ruiz and shared his plan.
For him, after activating the third-generation divine body and invincible physique, the Dark Alloy Armor wasn’t particularly useful.
He already had sufficient defense.

His divine body came with built-in computing power.
He had information shielding for stealth.
Even if he wore the Dark Alloy Armor, it would only enhance his defense against high-energy impacts or prevent his clothes from tearing.
"Oh? Is that so? Then let the teacher help you brainstorm."
Hearing this, old man Ruiz was not disappointed but intrigued.
Apart from Ge Xiaolun’s self-developed information shielding, his unexpected flight ability naturally piqued their curiosity.
"Teacher wants to know how you developed flight without angel genes," Ruiz said with interest.
"It’s simple. With your wisdom, Teacher Ruiz, you probably guessed it long ago," Ge Xiaolun smiled, lightly tapping the ground beneath him, and effortlessly rose dozens of meters into the air.
"Anti-void not only blocks energy and information flow, but also counters gravity, anti-gravity, and friction, freeing me from gravitational and air resistance constraints," he explained openly.
Though these concepts were his own invention, unseen in the original story, he took pride in them.
But in front of Teacher Ruiz, a god of the Divine River, such things were easily discerned.
Ruiz nodded unsurprised, though his eyes shone with pride as he looked at his outstanding student.
Though only now confirmed, he had guessed most of it earlier.
"However, anti-void can only disrupt and block, it cannot provide active propulsion. I have to rely on reactive force to adjust my speed and direction."
Floating midair, Ge Xiaolun suddenly kicked the air with explosive force, creating a sonic boom as he shot upward hundreds of meters.
His arms swung freely as he moved without resistance.
To Ruiz and Du Qiangwei on the ground, he looked less like flying and more like a fish swimming through the sea.
"Impressive," Ruiz praised, then continued, "Although this flying ability is reasonably fast, changing direction and deceleration are inconvenient and inaccurate, making it impractical in combat.
"I’ll design a dark energy propulsion system for you, which, though not powerful in thrust, will be agile.
"You can further refine it later to find the style you prefer."
"Haha! Thank you, Teacher Ruiz!" Ge Xiaolun laughed heartily.
He then stomped the ground again, creating several sonic booms as he shot into the sky.
Passing through clouds, soaring through the heavens, he felt utterly exhilarated.
Below, Ruiz and Qiangwei exchanged knowing smiles, fully understanding the pride and joy of a newly awakened super soldier experiencing flight.
Within seconds, Ge Xiaolun traversed several thousand meters of altitude, wielding his broad greatsword, repeatedly weaving through clouds and sunlight.
This was not only the thrill of flight but also the satisfaction of having preliminarily enhanced his combat power.
However, just as he cut through a thick cloud layer once more, a figure suddenly appeared close by.
"Whoa, you..."
"What the hell—!"
Ge Xiaolun barely caught sight of the newcomer and instinctively swung his Void Door with a slam.
Before the stranger could finish speaking, they rolled their eyes and were knocked back like a struck baseball, flying backwards instantly.
