Chapter Eleven: From Today On, You’re My Boss
“Ah?”
Staring blankly at the money placed before her, Rose Du was momentarily stunned and instinctively reached out to take it.
It was like when someone is on the phone—no matter what is handed to them nearby, they automatically reach out to receive it.
“No, no, that’s not right!”
Just as Rose was about to accept the thousand yuan from Kelvin Ge, her pupils contracted, and she finally snapped back to reality.
“It’s you?”
“You did this?”
“You planned this whole scene from the start?”
Looking up at Kelvin Ge’s kindly face, feeling the lingering weakness inside her, Rose’s pale face was filled with an indescribable shock.
It wasn’t that she was slow to react.
Her sudden condition had appeared out of nowhere.
She hadn’t seen Kelvin make a move; she only knew that her entire body went limp instantly—both her physical strength and dark energy failed all at once, causing her to collapse to her knees right after rushing toward the insect gate.
Even as she hit the ground, she hadn’t thought anything of Kelvin. She simply assumed her super gene had suddenly malfunctioned—that it was her own fault.
That was why she was baffled in that moment.
But seeing Kelvin thrust the money right into her face, his gloating expression practically pushing it into her mouth, and recalling his earlier strange habit of counting money, she finally connected the dots in time.
And this conclusion stunned her beyond words...
Beside her, Lian Feng, Jes, and the others couldn’t help but gasp at the scene.
“Not bad, you managed to realize it. Here, take it.” Kelvin Ge smiled and didn’t deny anything, still pressing the money toward Rose, signaling her to accept it.
The money had to be given.
After all, it wasn’t a holiday or festival; he was just giving this grand gift out of the blue.
Rose looked at the money again, then looked up at his perpetually kind smile, feeling a wave of deep humiliation wash over her.
“Get lost!”
Gritting her teeth, she forcefully pushed Kelvin’s hand away from the money and slowly stood up from the ground.
After those few seconds, her strength had quickly returned.
“Are you sure you don’t want it?”
Kelvin asked with a teasing smile, “If you refuse, don’t ever tell anyone you knelt before me and I didn’t even give you a thousand yuan.”
Rose clenched her teeth, balled her fists, and glared at him. “No!”
But she didn’t dwell on the issue; her anger soon faded, replaced by a frown as she asked, “Is this your power? So domineering! What’s it called again? Anti... anti what?”
One had to admit, even though Kelvin had deliberately humiliated her, her curiosity far outweighed her anger at this moment.
This was the first time she had witnessed such a terrifying power!
That helplessness of having your power cut off instantly, the sudden overwhelming weakness, the momentary blankness of the mind.
Experiencing it once was enough to leave an eternal impression!
“If you don’t want it, fine—saves me a thousand yuan,” Kelvin said cheerfully as he put the money back into his wallet.
Getting a free show of the goddess of fate’s kneeling posture without spending a dime wasn’t so bad after all.
“It’s called Anti-Void, Rose.”
At that moment, Lian Feng approached, clapping her hands with admiration in her voice.
“Kelvin, I have to say, you’ve just given us another vivid lesson.”
Her beautiful eyes shone with delight as she looked at Kelvin Ge, gently shaking her head to express her unspoken praise.
None of them had imagined that the newborn Galactic Force not only possessed extraordinary intelligence but also exceptional combat IQ.
Though the battle had not been as fierce as expected, Kelvin had fully demonstrated the terrifying power of the Anti-Void ability of the Galactic Force!
It was a mere Anti-Void power, but under Kelvin’s development, it had already shown an unbeatable self-protective information shield.
Now, it could effortlessly block kinetic energy and intercept Rose’s dark alloy throwing knives capable of harming second-generation warriors.
He could even easily discern Rose’s offensive intent and instantly suppress her entire body’s energy with Anti-Void, rendering her utterly powerless and captured without resistance.
Like thunder heard in a silent place.
General Du Cao, stationed aboard the colossal Gorge, immediately understood the tremendous combat strength Kelvin currently wielded.
This was the combat system Kelvin had built for himself, already fully formed.
“Rose, admit defeat. You’re no match for Kelvin.”
Lian Feng turned to Rose and gently advised her.
Or rather, no second-generation super warrior could resist Kelvin’s power.
“Anti-Void, huh...”
Chewing on the name, Rose nodded seriously after hearing Lian Feng’s advice.
“I understand, Aunt Lian Feng.”
She had long realized she was no match for Kelvin.
After all, if he could make her kneel in an instant, he could just as easily take her life.
This was an unbeatable, utterly despair-inducing power!
She had never felt so helpless before any opponent.
Not even against Teacher Ruiz, not even facing the rumored imminent war, nor any unknown terror.
None were as terrifying as Kelvin standing before her!
Because if you don’t even have the right to fight back, how can you speak of resistance?
Looking at Kelvin now, all her previous disdain was gone; not even the bitterness of defeat remained.
She was proud and unruly, but not foolish.
“From today onward, I recognize you as the boss.”
Rose looked at the tall, handsome man before her and declared decisively.
Then she walked over to Kelvin’s luggage nearby, picked it up, and came back.
Kelvin watched this scene with a satisfied nod.
Perhaps due to the destined relationship between Rose and himself in the original storyline, though he didn’t adore her like a lovesick fool, seeing her so obediently submissive now was rather pleasing.
Nearby, Lian Feng and old man Ruiz also smiled faintly at the sight.
“But Kelvin, aren’t you a little too cruel? Did you plan from the start that Rose would kneel? Why not treat her a bit more gently?”
Old man Ruiz approached with his imperfect Mandarin, smiling warmly at Kelvin.
Though he voiced some complaint, his eyes were full of joy and admiration.
His gaze was like that of a proud parent watching their most promising child.
“She’s easy to deal with, but as for kneeling... maybe kneeling, maybe full prostration.”
“And as for treating her gently? With her bad temper, if I don’t hit hard, how can she obey me?”
“Besides, I haven’t even pinned her to the ground with one foot yet; I’m already being considerate.”
Kelvin spoke as he walked with the others toward the dormitory building, taking the opportunity to tour the academy.
As for Rose, though her future potential was boundless, she was currently just a minor second-generation warrior with only a couple of simple moves that could be counted on one hand.
He didn’t even need to think much of her.
“Tsk, tsk, tsk, you really are something!” Old man Ruiz laughed and pointed at Kelvin.
The group walked to the dormitory area, passing through a corridor blooming with rose blossoms...
“Prepare a single room for me, with a queen-sized bed or bigger—my little Kitty can’t sleep well otherwise,” Kelvin glanced at the dorms full of four-person rooms and shook his head.
Hearing this, the others paused, then helplessly nodded in agreement, having no choice but to comply.
After Rose placed Kelvin’s luggage inside the dorm he chose and checked the time, the group, following old man Ruiz’s suggestion, headed to the cafeteria for a meal together.
“By the way, Teacher Ruiz, Sister Lian Feng, now that I’ve joined our Super God Academy, isn’t the academy going to issue me some weapons or equipment?”
After the meal, Kelvin casually asked Lian Feng and old man Ruiz, who had yet to leave.
