Chapter 57: Jugglus Juggler: Five King, You Bastard! God-Slaying
[The Maga-Orochi has arrived in a new universe, taking root in the Earth of this realm, drawing upon the planet's life energy and quietly growing.]
"Maga-Orochi, just take a gentle sip, just enough to hatch the larval form."
"What's the fun in only draining Earth's energy? Once you're out, go feed on the Space Beasts—now that has some real punch to it."
"Oh, and if those bastards from the Night Raiders give you any trouble, don't just take it—eat them along with the rest."
Lin Yu issued his command to the Maga-Orochi.
The Night Raiders were the defense team from Nexus, but they were full of scumbags who frequently made a habit of attacking Nexus right along with the Space Beasts for no good reason.
[The Maga-Orochi follows your command, absorbing the life energy while awaiting the moment to break free from its shell.]
"Very good."
Lin Yu nodded in satisfaction.
He turned his attention to the last one, Five King from the Ultraman Orb television series.
[Five King is obsessed with searching for Super Coba, Gan-Q, and Reicubas, while casually beating up Jugglus Juggler in the process.]
[Two suns appear in the sky, and the scorching high temperatures are too much even for Orb to withstand. A large number of citizens suffer from heatstroke. Five King roasts by the heat for a bit before kicking it out, whereupon the Fire Lord Monster Maga-Pandon manifests. Beaten to a pulp by Five King in just a few moves, Five King picks up the Maga-Pandon card.]
[Jugglus Juggler brings the aquatic lifeform Sshuum, attempting to trade Reicubas and Five King in exchange for the Maga-Pandon card that Five King took, offering to fetch Super Coba and Gan-Q as well if he can also be given the Belial card.]
Huh?
Gazing at this string of logs, Lin Yu frowned.
The Fire Lord Monster Maga-Pandon was dead, which meant all six Lord Monsters were gone, pushing the plot into the mid-stage of the Orb series, with Maga-Orochi about to make its debut.
Even if it was only a larval form.
If Five King killed Maga-Orochi, it would earn the qualification to raise Maga-Orochi—though Lin Yu already possessed that and didn't need it.
However, Five King needed its cultivation progress to increase.
That fellow Jugglus Juggler actually brought Reicubas and the alien controlling it?
And he wanted Five King's Fire Lord Monster card?
Trade!
If Five King's cultivation progress stalled, everything else was just empty talk.
Lin Yu desperately needed Five King to manifest.
Besides, he could actually find Gan-Q and Super Coba to trade for the Belial card?
Why did Lin Yu find that so hard to believe?
It smelled entirely like an empty promise.
Whatever, let's trade for Reicubas first.
[Five King makes the trade with Jugglus Juggler, successfully acquiring Reicubas. Five King absorbs it, and its cultivation progress increases.]
By now, Five King's cultivation progress should be at seventy percent.
"Still missing a Gan-Q and a Super Coba. I can't pin all my hopes on Jugglus Juggler."
"If there's a chance tomorrow, I'll search around Star-Drop Mountain more and see if I can find their Spark Dolls."
Lin Yu took a deep breath.
He prepared to close his phone, get some proper rest, and brace himself for the grueling battle tomorrow.
After all, he was facing Lugiel.
One wrong move... and he really would end up turned into a doll.
[Five King trails behind Jugglus Juggler, attempting to snatch his cards and the Dark Ring.]
?
When I put a question mark, it's not because I have a problem, but because I think *you* have a problem.
"What on earth is Five King playing at?"
Lin Yu stared wide-eyed at the suddenly updated log.
Before long, another line appeared in the log.
This thing updated way faster than a lazy author.
[Five King engages in a fierce brawl with Jugglus Juggler, successfully snatching six Lord Monster cards, though unfortunately failing to grab the Dark Ring. Jugglus Juggler angrily accuses Five King of lacking any integrity whatsoever, calling it an absolute beast. Five King says nothing, merely continuing to snatch more, while Orb arrives upon hearing the commotion to mock him. Jugglus Juggler flees in bitter resentment.]
"........."
Lin Yu was left utterly speechless.
Himself.
It seemed he had still overestimated Five King's moral bottom line.
He had told it to make a trade, and it did indeed make a trade.
Making a trade and then snatching the items right back afterward—how could that *not* be considered a trade?
Snatching them back meant they could even be used for another trade next time. What the hell......
[The Maga-Orochi has arrived in a new universe...]
"Well played, Five King!"
Lin Yu couldn't help but praise it.
Now *that* was a good monster!
Not an ounce of honesty in it!
It used every single dirty trick straight on Jugglus Juggler.
Driving Jugglus Juggler to the point of angrily cursing it as a beast.
But Five King *was* a beast to begin with!
It was just a pity the Dark Ring wasn't secured.
In the Orb series, the Lord Monsters were sealed by past generations of Ultramen, and unsealing them required the power of other monsters. For instance, unsealing the Wind Lord Monster Maga-Basser required the frozen monster Pegila card.
Unsealing the Light Lord Monster Maga-Zetton required the King Salvoss III and Pris-Ma cards, among others.
These monster cards were all manufactured by Jugglus Juggler using the Dark Ring.
One could say the Dark Ring was Jugglus Juggler's most crucial possession.
And unsealing Maga-Orochi required six Lord Monster cards plus the Belial card.
Right now, all these items were in Five King's possession.
"Five King, improvise as you see fit. I trust you."
Lin Yu simply relinquished direct control, letting Five King play however it wanted.
This son-of-a-bitch would never suffer a loss anyway.
He wouldn't micromanage anymore.
Closing the game.
Lin Yu closed his eyes.
Falling asleep.
Recovering his energy, for tomorrow promised a bitter battle.
————————
Star-Drop Town
"Ah!"
A miserable scream pierced the night sky.
An ugly-looking grey alien, about one meter ninety tall with ears stretching outward to both sides, collapsed onto the ground.
Foaming at the mouth.
There was also a long whip mark across his face.
It was lashed by Carmeara.
The Transparent Alien—Alien Baltan! (Note: referring to the Transparent Alien appearing in Leo)
An alien that debuted in the Ultraman Leo television series, who once walked human-sized through the cities, using invisibility to steal the MAC gun held by Ohtori Gen and murder an approaching police officer.
Fleeing after framing Ohtori Gen for the crime.
Later, reappearing before Ohtori Gen while he was serving a one-week suspension, using his invisibility to manipulate the steel pipe in Gen's hands to murder a construction worker at a building site, further plunging Gen into suspicion of murder.
His true identity was eventually uncovered by Leo's telekinesis, clearing Gen of suspicion.
Ultimately growing giant to duel Leo, only to be beaten to death by him.
A thoroughly malicious alien through and through.
This fellow had been hiding in the city as well; no doubt quite a few recent missing persons cases were his doing!
At this moment, he too had been lured by the meteorite in Star-Drop Town.
But having witnessed Eleking, Carmeara, and the others duking it out with the three major fierce beasts during the day, he only dared to sneak in stealthily at night.
Well, the stealth attempt failed.
"Eat my Ultra-Ancient Heavy Cannon Punch!"
The moment Alien Baltan was knocked flat, Darramb pounced forward like a bear, his fist crashing fiercely into Alien Baltan's face with terrifying force.
"Bang!"
Alien Baltan's face caved in deeply.
How was this any different from having his face run over by a truck?
"Now take my handsome, dashing, striking, and overwhelmingly suave revolving kick!"
Hudra approached with flamboyant style, executing two one-handed backflips before sweeping his leg across Alien Baltan's face.
After all, being Ultraman human hosts, they recovered quickly; mere fatal injuries were already healing nicely by now.
Even Darramb's dislocated arm had already healed.
The continuous barrage of blows finally overwhelmed Alien Baltan, his head tilted sideways as he died.
"That's the third one."
"Just how many aliens are hiding around here?"
Carmeara looked at the deceased Alien Baltan with a headache.
Dawn was approaching.
They had guarded this place all night and wiped out three of them.
Two were human-sized aliens, and one had successfully grown giant, only to be beaten to death in a righteous group assault by Carmeara, Hudra, and Darramb.
"There shouldn't be any more for now."
With her eyes tightly shut and palms pressed together, Luce opened them, a trace of exhaustion in her voice.
Throughout the night, she had continuously expanded her psychic energy into the surroundings, shouting "Hello" whenever anything unfamiliar with a non-human life signature approached.
If the opponent dared to answer, Carmeara's whip would lash out.
Just kidding, even if they didn't answer, it lashed out anyway.
In short, a human radar.
"Just what kind of magic do these meteorites possess, that they can continuously attract so many aliens to throw themselves into the fire like moths?"
"Clearly, their strength is far inferior to King Joe, Codaligus, or Black King."
"Are they not afraid of dying?"
Carmeara sighed softly.
"Well... Sister Carmeara, if they weren't afraid of dying, they wouldn't have tried to run away after being discovered and attacked by us."
"Personally, I think they're terrified of dying."
Luce smiled brightly and replied.
"Since they're afraid of dying, why still come over? We clearly fought a battle here during the day."
Carmeara frowned, deeply puzzled.
"Because they're used to acting without restraint."
Luce said softly.
"Used to... acting without restraint?"
Carmeara was slightly taken aback.
"Mm."
"Humans on Earth were as fragile as ants in their eyes; they killed whenever they pleased. Even major defense teams, or the headquarters of the Earth Allied Organization, weren't hard for them to break into. Those big shots were just slightly larger ants."
"They were like gods on this planet, and the only thing that could ever stop them was another god."
"So they grew accustomed to it—accustomed to there being no place on Earth they couldn't go."
Luce spoke with a dazed expression in her eyes.
It was hard to tell whether she was talking about Earth or her lost homeworld.
Carmeara opened her mouth, wanting to say something, but was momentarily at a loss for words.
No alien invasions happened during the Ultra-Ancient era.
Because the abundance of dark giants and technologically advanced humans on Earth had made the planet a place "not to be messed with."
But the Earth of today was not like that.
"But it's fine now!"
"Our Captain has appeared."
"These gods are about to fall from their altars. Just like the ordinary people they slaughtered, they too will utter the death-rattle cries of the butchered."
"I'll stay by the Captain's side forever, doing everything in my power to help him slaughter the gods."
Luce's smile was brilliant.
Making Carmeara start slightly.
"Ah."
Luce suddenly turned her head, looking into the distance.
Right there.
A pickup truck tore through the dust and weeds, speeding toward them.
Sunlight pierced the horizon, announcing the end of the night.
Daytime had arrived.
"The Captain is here!"
