“Alright! Then, the first step is to complete Gu Feng’s advancement quest,” Lu Daoxuan said calmly.

“Oh? What is Gu Feng’s advancement quest?” Only now did everyone recall Gu Feng’s quest, having been so absorbed in the fierce battle with the Dragon King that they had forgotten everything else.

“To open the boundary channel and receive divine power from the God Realm to refine the body,” Gu Feng looked at the dimensional system, puzzled. “The problem is, this boundary channel is already open, but it leads to the Divine Laboratory, and inside is only the Dragon King. How am I supposed to obtain divine energy from the realm of gods?”

“That shouldn’t be an issue,” he replied, turning to the Great Sage. “Since the Great Sage mentioned possessing the key item for godhood, I believe it’s the device that can guide us to the coordinates of the God Realm.”

“This gentleman’s wisdom is boundless!” The Great Sage replied. “Indeed, my lineage has passed down a magical artifact since the age of magical civilization—using the Godhood Altar requires the guidance of the Starry Sky Disk. Back then, the magical genius had no idea that the altar needed the Starry Sky Disk, which brought disaster upon us by attracting ferocious beasts!”

“Yes, if we can connect to the God Realm through the Starry Sky Disk, then summoning a deity to deal with the Dragon King would be no trouble at all!” The elven high priest exclaimed with joy.

“We’ll see,” Lu Daoxuan said coolly. “This place is the Godhood Altar. Great Sage, please use your magic to connect the channel to the God Realm. Gu Feng, whether we succeed or fail depends on whether you can reach S-rank.” His final words were spoken to Gu Feng alone through the dimensional trading system; neither of the two women renowned for their wisdom heard him.

“Yes…” The Great Sage replied, biting his finger and letting a drop of blood fall onto the Starry Sky Disk. Instantly, the pitch-black space within the disk began to rotate, and one by one, seven brilliant stars appeared. Finally, the seven stars aligned in the shape of the Big Dipper, sending a dazzling beam of light onto the magic circle.

As the light beam touched the magic circle, golden radiance flooded the array, the cracks mending themselves as it began to operate.

“Now!” At Lu Daoxuan’s command, a pillar of white light erupted from the magic circle, enveloping Gu Feng. As soon as it appeared, the elements of heaven and earth surged and compressed, stirring up winds and clouds.

The others heard Gu Feng’s roar from within the beam, a cry filled with endless pain. Meanwhile, the elven high priest hurriedly recited prayers, hoping to summon a deity to subdue the Dragon King. Yet, after a full quarter of an hour, as the beam faded and Gu Feng’s figure gradually emerged, not a single deity answered her prayers.

“How could this be?” The high priest murmured in despair. “Have we been abandoned by the gods?”

“Relying on others is less than relying on oneself!” Newly ascended to S-rank, Gu Feng opened his eyes. Everyone looked at him and saw his skin shimmering, his eyes as deep as the starry sky.

“Everyone…” Gu Feng spoke through the dimensional system, “Upon reaching S-rank, the system rewarded me with my strongest spatial skill—SS-rank: Shattering the Clouded Sky. Using spatial force to rend flesh, perhaps it can deal with the Dragon King.”

“However, there are two problems. First, this skill requires immense vitality, which I don’t possess. Second… if the Dragon King truly is immortal as Lu Daoxuan claims, my skill can only severely wound him.”

“That’s not an issue!” Lu Daoxuan answered. “Though it is immortal, I have a way to force its soul and consciousness to briefly leave its body. Then, you can use ‘Shattering the Clouded Sky’ to destroy its flesh. However, it has three parts we must immediately separate, seal, absorb, and transform into our own power.”

“Which three parts?” Mu Tou asked.

“The first part is the Dragon Soul in its brain, the essence of its spirit and the source of its skill mastery. Once I separate it, Mu Tou will absorb it, and I believe this will grant him unique abilities.”

“The second part is the Dragon Essence within its body, the crystallization of its cultivation over thousands of years. Only Mu Tou’s pet, the little dragon, can absorb it, greatly enhancing her power and becoming our greatest aid in the future.”

“As for the third part, it’s the Dragon Heart, the wellspring of its strength. I plan for Baldhead to absorb this. I recall Baldhead’s Beast God Transformation requires various animal hearts as sources of power—once he succeeds, he’ll possess the strength of a dragon.”

Lu Daoxuan explained each detail as if everything was under his control, even assigning who would take what. Everyone had to admit his genius, wondering how he could think so thoroughly—as if he’d dissected the Dragon King long ago.

“Boss Lu, your arrangements are perfect, but you seem to have forgotten me!” Zigui complained from the side.

Lu Daoxuan adjusted his glasses. “Your power grows in ways beyond the magical plane. However, bathing in the Dragon King’s blood will still greatly enhance your physique!”

Zigui’s eyes sparkled. “You all get the benefits, so the remaining Dragon King’s corpse belongs to me!”

“No problem,” Lu Daoxuan replied coolly.

“Wait…” Gu Feng protested. “We’re talking about distributing spoils now, but I don’t have the strength to use an SS skill across ranks!”

“There’s a solution, don’t worry,” Lu Daoxuan said. “Mu Tou, you can channel the energy of heaven and earth. When the time comes, just funnel all of it into me. However, both of your powers will be depleted and will need time to recover.”

“Channel the energy into you?” Mu Tou stared. “Brother Lu, you’re sure you want all the energy I can gather sent into your body? You might… explode!”

“Don’t worry. Just follow my instructions,” Lu Daoxuan said calmly.

“Now…” Lu Daoxuan suddenly shouted. At that moment, all four experts unleashed their ultimate skills. The Moon Priestess began chanting again: “Six-pointed, five-radiant light, the utmost judgment of heaven and earth, the extremity of magic, the pact of blood, drawing upon the power of the moon, shifting stars, all-burning strike.”

Since the Moon Priestess appeared, this was only the second time she uttered this spell—the first had combined the power of the Demon Emperor Kalan and Bai Li Lion to break the seal on the Godhood Altar. Now, she invoked it to concentrate the power of four experts plus the Black Dragon’s lifetime cultivation from the Immortal in the Clouds, aiming them all at the Dragon King.

“Roar…” The mighty Dragon King endured the blow with a muffled groan, suffering a minor wound. Though his formidable healing would soon restore him, Lu Daoxuan seized the fleeting moment and shouted, “Now, Mu Tou!”

Mu Tou understood, immediately channeling the energy of heaven and earth furiously, acting as a conduit, his palms pressed against Lu Daoxuan’s back, sending endless energy into Lu Daoxuan’s body.

As the energy entered, Lu Daoxuan revealed his skill for the first time before everyone. A massive wheel of magic appeared before him. His hands formed the seal of the Sacred Vessel, and a soft chant escaped his lips: “Wheel turns—Divine Power’s Aid!”

“Soul Severance!”

“Mind Extinction!”

At his words, the Dragon King, in the midst of furious motion, suddenly shuddered, its body freezing, a look of confusion in its eyes. Then, its body trembled, expanding to a hundred yards long, no longer in battle form. Lu Daoxuan’s ability was revealed to be a spiritual attack.

“Gu Feng…” Lu Daoxuan murmured, placing his hands on Gu Feng’s back, funneling Mu Tou’s gathered energy into Gu Feng.

“More… just a bit more…” Gu Feng felt no lack of power, yet at that moment, the confusion in the Dragon King’s eyes began to fade, and it was about to recover.

At the critical moment, Mu Tou called out, “Immortal in the Clouds!”

The Immortal in the Clouds quickly returned. The golden dragon scissors released two black dragons, which soared and pressed against Lu Daoxuan’s back, letting him send their power into Gu Feng.

“Enough!” Gu Feng shouted, raising his staff high:

“Shattering the Clouded Sky!”

At that moment, the Dragon King broke free of Lu Daoxuan’s mental attack, its massive body sweeping across the air. But before it could threaten anyone, at its center—above, below, left, right, front, and back—a circular black vortex appeared, dragging the dragon’s body inward. Yes, inward collapse, for everyone sensed that the vortex was devouring not only the Dragon King but also the space and time around it, compressing inward as if collapsing.

As the Dragon King struggled vainly, the giant black hole suddenly rebounded outward, expanding rapidly before shattering. In that instant of contraction and expansion, even the light fractured, breaking into pieces from the spatial distortion, and the Dragon King, caught within, was rent by the tearing of space. The cracks on its body squirmed, trying desperately to heal, but under the twisted force, the fissures grew larger. At last, with a mournful cry and a thunderous explosion, its body shattered, drenching those below—they finally received their coveted dragon’s blood bath.

Yet Lu Daoxuan did not stop. His hands formed seals again:

“Wheel turns—Divine Power’s Aid!”

“Soul Severance!”

Lu Daoxuan’s hands again shaped the Sacred Vessel seal, reciting the spell. From the broken dragon’s body, two points of light appeared: one from the head, a dragon soul the size of an eye, drawn by Lu Daoxuan’s seal towards Mu Tou, landing on his forehead. Instantly, Mu Tou felt a scorching power invade his mind, as brilliant white light flashed from his brow, dazzling all who looked.

The other point of light was the Dragon Essence. The Immortal in the Clouds, having heard Mu Tou’s instructions, revealed her true form, let out a long cry, and soared into the air, swallowing the Dragon Essence in one gulp.
