Divine Elixir Continues Life, Trouble Visits the Body
The old king looked to be around seventy or eighty years old. Hearing of Nasser's status, he grabbed Mu Tou's hand and asked with deep agitation, "Mr. Mu, how is my son?"
Seeing that this man possessed supernatural abilities akin to gods and demons, he had initially felt a trace of fear. However, when the man's female companion drove a few golden needles into his already deceased son and forcibly brought him back from the dead, boundless hope instantly surged within his heart.
Mu Tou originally wanted to say there was no problem, but upon second thought, if he cured the man too easily, it would be far too shocking to the world. Instead, he said, "Do you have any wild mountain ginseng over a century old here? First, brew a soup with it to sustain the prince's life, and then we will figure out a way to treat him!" In such royal and noble households, nourishing items of this sort were the least scarce. Even someone without medical knowledge knew that ginseng had the power to prolong life. Hearing Mu Tou say this, the old king hurriedly instructed the servants to go and prepare it.
Taking advantage of this opportunity, Mu Tou used his spiritual sense to ask Ya Xinyi, "How is this man?"
Ya Xinyi replied, "Fortunately, we made it in time, and his soul has not yet dispersed. I used the Rejuvenation Technique to stimulate his vital potential. For now, we are merely sustaining his life; we still need to find the root cause of the problem!"
Mu Tou said, "What root cause could we possibly need? We have those miraculous elixirs. Have you forgotten that I have the 'miracular beans'? Just have him swallow one directly!"
Ya Xinyi carefully checked his pulse for a moment, a strange expression appearing on her face as she said, "His body is in an extremely weak state right now, and I'm afraid he wouldn't be able to withstand the spiritual medicines of the cultivation world. Moreover, judging by his pulse... it seems he has been poisoned. Those 'miracular beans' of yours can heal severe injuries, but they are likely useless against someone who has been poisoned."
Poisoned? Mu Tou's heart skipped a beat. It seemed this matter was definitely not that simple, and the premonition brought by his clairvoyance and divine perception was about to become reality.
However, with so many people around and ears everywhere, Mu Tou naturally wouldn't immediately reveal that the prince had been poisoned. Frowning with a deliberate expression of difficulty, he said, "My junior sister used the 'golden needle acupuncture' technique to barely bring the prince back from the realm of the dead, but I'm afraid he is still in great danger. I don't have absolute certainty that he can be saved."
Having witnessed with his own eyes how Mu Tou brought a dead man back to life, the old king didn't believe for a second that he lacked the ability to provide treatment. Assuming Mu Tou was taking the opportunity to demand wealth, he hurriedly said, "The divine arts of the mister are rare in this world. As long as you can save my son Faisal, no matter how much wealth it takes, I will surely present it in full!"
Mu Tou shook his head. The old king thought he didn't care for money. After pondering for a moment, he added, "Which country does the mister come from? Although my country is not large, I can bestow upon you a noble peerage of this realm, guaranteeing you a lifetime of glory and wealth!"
Mu Tou replied, "There's no rush for any of that. We haven't cured the prince yet. Let's talk about it after he is healed!"
Seeing that Mu Tou had not seized the opportunity to demand money or a title, the old king felt a few points of favorable impression toward him and said, "Since that is the case, what equipment or medicines does the mister need? Any requirements will be absolutely satisfied."
Mu Tou smiled and said, "The prince is already a man on the brink of death. Ordinary medicinal herbs are likely ineffective. We must concoct something specially. It's just that there are too many people here. Have them withdraw."
How clever Nasser was! Hearing Mu Tou exchange a meaningful glance with him, he immediately commanded, "Everyone, withdraw. Chief Steward Jabbar, guard the door and do not let anyone enter."
Soon, the attendants all retreated. In the spacious bedchamber, only Mu Tou and his companions, the old king, Nasser, and the middle-aged man who had rebuked Nasser earlier remained. Judging by his demeanor, he seemed to be an elder of Nasser's generation.
Of course, Nasser couldn't just outright ask his uncle to leave, so he tactfully said to the old king, "Grandfather, with this eminent master making a move, I suppose my father's life should be secure. You and my uncle have been here for a long time and must be tired. Why not go back and rest early? I will send someone to report my father's condition to Grandfather at any time."
The old king nodded, offered a few more words of instruction to Mu Tou, and barked, "Second son, let's go!"
A flash of imperceptible, gloomy light crossed the middle-aged man's eyes. He bowed in assent and followed the old king out the door.
Hearing that the crowd had walked far away, Nasser asked Mu Tou, "Mr. Mu, could my father truly have been poisoned?"
Mu Tou was momentarily stunned, asking in surprise, "You knew?"
Nasser replied, "My father's health has always been very robust. This illness came on far too abruptly. I suspected from the start that he had been poisoned, but countless famous physicians were invited, and none could detect any signs of poisoning. Even during examinations in America, they only found anomalies in his blood without knowing what the issue was, and they were unable to treat it."
Mu Tou nodded and said, "Your guess is correct. He has indeed been poisoned."
"As I thought!" Anger flashed across Nasser's face. He slammed his palm against the edge of the bed and said, "It must be one of my uncles, for the sake of seizing the throne... Mr. Mu, what kind of poison is my father afflicted with?"
Mu Tou looked at Ya Xinyi, only to see her shake her head and say, "I am not familiar with the poisons of this realm, but I should be able to cure it!"
Mu Tou understood that her words meant she was unfamiliar with Earth's poisons, but curing this poison was a trivial matter to her.
Overjoyed to hear that she could cure the poison, Nasser said, "Then many thanks to the two of you. Whatever you need, just give the word!"
Mu Tou chuckled and said, "My friend and I have just arrived in the Arab countries, and we greatly admire the scenery here. Could you please arrange a guide to take us out for a tour?"
Nasser nodded. "No problem, but my father's condition...?"
Mu Tou looked toward Ya Xinyi, who produced a medicinal pill the size of a pigeon's egg. It was greenish-cyan in color, with a faint medicinal fragrance emanating from it. She said, "Dissolve this pill in water and administer it once every four hours. By evening, he should be able to speak, and then I will adjust the dosage according to his condition."
Overjoyed, Nasser carefully took the pill, personally fetched water to dissolve it, and fed it to his father.
After all this commotion, dawn had already broken. Nasser spoke again, "Mr. Mu, neither of you rested last night. Would you like to rest for a while before going out to sightsee?"
Where did this group of people need rest like ordinary people? Zigui was even making a fuss about wanting to experience exotic customs, so Nasser had no choice but to instruct Steward Jabbar to send people to lead Mu Tou and the others out for a tour. He added, "I am very sorry, Mr. Mu, but I must stay by my father's side and cannot accompany you personally."
Mu Tou signaled that it didn't matter. Thereupon, Nasser instructed the steward to send Mu Tou and his group out using his personal limousine, a lengthened Lincoln.
The Arab world was a country gushing with oil, but because most of it was desert, it was also known as "blessed sands." Under the introduction of the personnel arranged by the steward, Mu Tou and the others learned that this kingdom was called Tunisia, located near the Mediterranean Sea. The capital here was a city blending an old city full of Arabian local charm with a modern Europeanized city. Most of its buildings were white, set against the green shade of date palms, palm trees, and olive trees, resembling white lotuses floating on the Mediterranean Sea.
The streets in the old urban area of this country were crowded, and people's clothing was relatively traditional. Men wore robes while women draped headscarves, selling all kinds of woven goods and embroideries. In the new urban area, however, there were rows upon rows of high-rise buildings, wide and bright tree-lined avenues, fresh and bright cafes, shopping malls, and restaurants, dressing up the urban area colorfully. Strolling through the urban area, a rich Mediterranean atmosphere rushed toward them, and melodious music spilled from the cafes.
Passing continuously through the new and old urban districts and stopping along the way, the two sisters Mu Siyu and Mu Siqining purchased countless woven goods and embroideries. By dusk, instead of stopping, the driver drove straight toward the outskirts, claiming he would take everyone to see the night view in the direction of the Mediterranean Sea. Mu Tou sneered inwardly; his clairvoyance and divine perception had long since anticipated that curing the prince would bring trouble, he simply hadn't expected it to come so quickly.
Sure enough, not long after the lengthened Lincoln drove out of the urban area, the rumbling sounds of two helicopters chasing after them could be heard. The driver smiled sinisterly, abruptly pulled out the car keys, jumped out of the vehicle, locked the doors and windows, and sprinted away.
The staff member arranged by the steward had slow reactions and actually failed to understand the situation. Casually looking up, he caught sight of two missiles launching from the helicopters, and only then did he scream in terror, "Oh God!"
If these were ordinary people, death would undoubtedly be certain. But what kind of people were Mu Tou and his companions? They all watched unhurriedly, and Zigui even commented, "Such backward weapons indeed. If I brought a legion with me, I reckon I could conquer Earth."
Seeing that the missiles were about to strike the Lincoln, Gu Feng pointed his staff and commanded: "Space, reverse!"
In a split second, the two missiles suddenly vanished into thin air. The personnel in the helicopters were slightly stunned, only to see the two missiles inexplicably flying back out of nowhere. Following two deafening explosions, the two helicopters turned into balls of fire and plummeted down. Seeing this, the driver hiding in the distance turned ashen-faced and frantically pulled out his phone to make a call.
Inside the Lincoln, the tour guide had only just recovered his wits. Having never seen Mu Tou and the others display divine arts, he hadn't figured out what had happened at all and merely cried out, "God bless!" However, he soon realized they had come under attack, pulled out his phone, and began chattering away in rapid speech.
Knowing he was reporting the situation here to the royal descendants, the group paid him no mind. Gu Feng pointed outside the car and asked, "What about that little trash fish? Shall we wipe him out?"
Mu Tou shook his head. "We don't need to lift a finger; his master will kill him to silence him anyway. It's really not worth our effort!"
Gu Feng nodded and asked again, "Shall we go out?" After all, being trapped inside the car wasn't much of a solution.
Before Mu Tou could speak, Zigui chimed in, "No need, I have a way." As she spoke, she produced a small mechanical ball, which rapidly transformed into a palm-sized robot, scurried over to the driver's seat, undid the door and window locks in a few moves, and got the Lincoln moving. However, while Zigui was adept at high technology, she didn't know how to drive Earth's automobiles, so the tour guide had to act as the driver. Yet, he no longer dared to continue taking Mu Tou and the others sightseeing; reporting their coordinates to his superiors, he drove straight back to the city.
Very quickly, a squad of soldiers came to meet them and escorted Mu Tou and his group safely back to the palace.
Nasser had long since learned of the news and ran over hurriedly, apologizing profusely, "Mr. Mu, it was my lax security that has caused you alarm."
In truth, Mu Tou had long since sensed that he would encounter this trouble. The reason he deliberately refrained from mentioning it was precisely to make this royal descendant harbor a sense of guilt while simultaneously witnessing the methods of his group. With a faint smile, he simply said, "It's nothing. These people still can't harm me!"
